Extra-mammary Paget's disease (which tends to occur in the ano-genital region, and may be the earliest sign of underlying tumours eg. of sweat glands or prostate) must be given the appropriate site code (for example skin) together with the morphology code M8542/3. These site and morphology codes must be suppressed or removed when the underlying tumour (for example prostate) is diagnosed. The original anniversary date should be retained.
