The agreement by the UKACR Executive Committee that (with the exception of colorectal and thyroid cancers) all registries should use TNM6 to record the pathological TNM stage as recommended by the Royal College of Pathologists. It was agreed that, when it was necessary for a registry to derive a pathological TNM stage, all registries should use an algorithm that used TNM6 except for colorectal and thyroid cancers, where the use of TNM5 is recommended.
