a)   Each registry should note that when ICDO-3 is adopted, the textual description of the morphology of a 'Borderline ovarian tumour' will be unchanged, but analysis of incidence and survival, if
restricted to /3 codes, will be affected. b)   If a borderline tumour is registered pre 2008 as a behaviour /3 code and the tumour recurs as an Invasive tumour with a behaviour /3 in year 2008 onwards - even though the behaviours are the same the 'borderline' morphology code must be taken into account and a new registration must be made. eg: Borderline mucinous ovarian ca 2006 = C56, 8472/3 and Invasive mucinous ovarian ca 2008 = C56, 8470/3 (second registration). Analysts should clarify whether requested analyses are to include or exclude borderline tumours of uncertain behaviour.
