Urine cytology reported as “Malignant Urothelial carcinoma” must be registered as an Uncertain behaviour tumour of the urinary tract NOS.

• Morphology - M8120/1 (Transitional Cell carcinoma of uncertain behaviour)

Cases should always be followed up to seek confirmation of behaviour through histology or other diagnostic evidence.
