Early Stromal Invasion (ESI) of the cervix is equivalent to microinvasive disease and should therefore be coded to a behaviour /5 M8070/5, not behaviour /3. 

This rule applies to ESI of the cervix only.

Early Stromal Invasion (ESI) of the cervix is equivalent to microinvasive disease and should therefore be coded to a behaviour/5 M8070/5 or M8076/5, not behaviour /3. For Registry’s not able to record a behaviour/5 these should be coded to a behaviour/3 M8076/3.
